The Reiki Hands-on Healing Technique has it's origins in Japan. In the United States, it is gaining in popularity as an empowering source for self-healing, as well as healing others, even long distance.

   There are many healing techniques from around the world, all of which have validity, meaning and purpose. What I love about Reiki is that it encompasses Master to Student Initiations - a rite of passage not practiced in our modern society. More so, each initiation aligns the student's chakras to the higher frequency that Reiki provides access to, compared to other healing techniques. The student's energy field is balancing and expanding to new levels of being. Reiki accelerates our growth in every way, plugging us back into our spiritual self and purpose. Many changes can occur physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It can be life changing. To channel Reiki to a client, the healer must be aligned with this highly spiritual energy, for it is not just an easy technique, it is rather a holy vibration to attain. 
   
   The Reiki experience can be an enlightening process for both you and your clients. It is unique to our Western culture with its use of ancient symbols and Master to Student initiation traditions. It is quite a beautiful experience!
